Deadline for Homestead Tax Credit Is Dec 31

This tax credit protects homeowners, regardless of age, income, or property value, from annually spiking tax bills on the home they live in. As of August 1, 2012, 65% of current Baltimore City homeowners have not yet applied. Applications must be postmarked or received by December 31, 2012, or homeowners will lose this credit for the tax year beginning on July 1, 2013.
